Opposite Fields

Michael Speechley (aka Opposite Fields) is an artist and educator living and working in North West London. His practice focuses on moving image, sound, installation works, artist collaboration and supporting spaces for the arts.

Michael is a sessional Lecturer in moving image for live performance (VJ Skills) at Point Blank Music School in London. Part of his collaboration with XYZ Brentford is to establish an AV Lab for artists to test and develop work for live performance and gallery exhibitions. The AV Lab can be found on the Ground Floor overlooking Lot's Ait (island) and the Thames towards Kew Gardens.

Michael is a co-curators for B.AIT WEST and an artist in residence and collaborator at XYZ Brentford.

Workshops for VJ Skills @ XYZ Brentford using VDMX, Resolume, MadMapper and Blender for moving image commence in February 2025. DM for info.
