KARYPSIA

Richard Dannenberg is a German-British interdisciplinary artist who works across theatre, music, poetry, film, photography & installations. They make music under the name of Karypsia - where they blend various genres including indie, prog, psychedelia, folk, synth, performance poetry to create what they call “conceptual art rock”. He is based between London, Aberystwyth & the Greater Region of Luxembourg, and is currently studying a Masters in the Performance Programme at Central Saint Martins. Often during live/music sound performances as Karypsia, they will have performers doing movement as well as a variety of experimental visuals.

For this performance, they collaborated with Shuyi Alice Wang and Gima Chim, both currently also in the MA Performance Programme at CSM.
