IVY NOSTRUM

IVY NOSTRUM is Paul Margree, a sound artist and improvisor from London. He blends explorations of everyday objects with feedback systems to explore ideas of instability and stasis. His work produces uneasy states of listening verging from deep, haunting drones to the delicate and nuanced exploration of daily minutiae.

WELLNESS REGIME, his collaboration with Mike Holland, pitches eccentric sampling against grainy noise for site-sensitive chaos. Rough in parts, but getting smoother.

LARGE TIN, a partnership with Phil Maguire, was debuted in 2024 at the Sonorities Festival in Belfast. It deploys chance operations to create unpredictable sonic outcomes. Usually a tombola is involved. Like a raffle. But with noise.
