Anna Fairchild

Anna Fairchild works with sculpture, experimental photographic processes and audio visual collaborations using the cello, exploring where visual two and three-dimensional texture, form and sound qualities merge.

The focus or starting points for her visual exploration are most often Brutalist and post war architecture and the under looked at organic/inorganic, animate/inanimate material within urban spaces. Her visual ideas are rooted in urban layering (palimpsests), mapping as an expanded field of practice and our co-creative negotiation with non-human agents within urban spaces.

Anna has exhibited visual work in the UK, Turkey and Europe such as Brutal Dream at The Broadway Galley, Letchworth (2024), Congruous at Saturation Point, London in (2022), Made With at Cross Lane Projects, Cumbria (2020) and Cartographers (1997) curated by Zelimir Koscevic in Zagreb, Warsaw and Maribor and co-curated and participated in multimedia residencies such as Inside, Inside, with Lucy Renton (2016 Istanbul Design Biennial).

With Brutal Dreamsound her audio-visual collaboration with Acoustic Survey aka Jakub Rokita and Rob Flint/FLOMO, she has performed at Brutal Dream, Letchworth (2024) and Ealing Extranormal (2025)
